In the morning of 28 July 2021, His Excellency Hun Han, Ambassador of Cambodia to Kuwait​​ as a chairman of ASEAN-Kuwait Committee, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Ali Sulaiman Al-Saeed, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs of Kuwait, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.

During the meeting, H.E. Hun Han exchanged views and proposed the ASEAN flag-hoisting Day, which was scheduled to be held on August 2021, and invited H.E. Assistant Foreign Minister to participate as a guest of honor in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health of Kuwait.
