On 21 May 2024, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, chaired an inter-ministerial meeting with representatives of relevant ministries and institutions.
The meeting discussed the preparatory aspects of the 20th Summit of Francophonie in 2026 for which Cambodia has applied as the host country. The participants reflected on establishing the National Commission and Sub-commissions. Financial, logistical and human resources issues were also put on the table for discussion during the meeting.
