On 22 July 2024, Her Excellency KHIEV Sophany, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated in a High-Level Consultation Workshop on “the Draft Monitoring and Evaluation Framework of the Implementation of Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I”, presided over by H.E. Vongsey Vissoth, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Minister in Charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, and Chairman of the Committee on Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I. Held at Garden City Hotel, the workshop received the presence of H.E. Senior Minister, H.E. Minister of Planning, and H.E. Minister of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation along with approximately 300 high-level delegates and representatives of ministries and institutions and development partners.
The workshop had an overarching objective to review and discuss a variety of topics inclusive of 1.) Draft Monitoring and Evaluation Framework of the Implementation of Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I, 2.) Guidelines on the linkage of Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I and National Strategic Development Plan 2024-208, 3.) The performance measurement matrix for framework on monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I, 4.) Progress and challenges of the preparation on National Strategic Development Plan 2024-2028.
On the occasion, Her Excellency Secretary of State shared her inputs for a more complete and comprehensive picture of the Draft Monitoring and Evaluation Framework of the Implementation of Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I, specifically concerning the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as a reflection of the ministry’s significant contributions in realizing the Pentagonal Strategy-Phase I.
