On 26 July 2024, His Excellency KHUON Phon Rattanak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received His Excellency. Dr. Ivan Velimir Starčević, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Kingdom of Cambodia with resident in Malaysia, at the Ministry. 

Both parties expressed their delight for the preparation of the upcoming 1st Bilateral Consultations between the two foreign ministries which is scheduled to be held at the end of 2024. Both sides further emphasized that this mechanism will strengthen the two nations' friendship and expand bilateral cooperation in potential fields, including economics, trade, culture, and tourism. Both sides also shared their views on regional and international issues of common concern.
