On 8th August 2024, H.E KE Sovann, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with H.E Paul Dean, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Deterrence and Stability of the U.S. Department of State, at the ministry. 

During the meeting, both sides discussed issues related to regional nuclear proliferation, arms control, military artificial intelligence (AI) technology, and chemical weapons with a view to contributing to regional and international peace and security.
