On 25 September 2024, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Kurt Campbell, US Deputy Secretary of State, in New York.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress in bilateral relations and pledged to enhance engagement to further strengthen their ties. They also discussed multilateral cooperation, particularly within the ASEAN framework, where Cambodia took on the role of country coordinator for ASEAN-US Dialogue Relations ( 2024 - 2027).
