On 16 October 2024, Her Excellency YENTIENG Puthirasmey, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Her Excellency Men Nearysopheak, First Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Red Cross, at the Ministry, to discussed the five draft resolutions on the International Humanitarian Law (IHL), to be adopted during the 34th International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, which will be held from 23-31 October 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland, where Cambodian Red Cross delegation will attend.

During the cordial meeting, both sides also exchanged views on promoting the establishment of enforcement mechanism of the IHL in accordance with the Decision on the establishment of the Joint Commission for the implementation of International Humanitarian Law.
