On 29 October 2024, His Excellency CHUM Sounry, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, briefed Ms. Lara D. Crouch, Senior Professional Staff Member for the Indo-Pacific Region of the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee, on the developments in the relationship between Cambodia-United States in a meeting held at the Ministry.

His Excellency Secretary of State touched on the fruitful results of the visits to Cambodia in 2024 by some important delegations, especially by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and USAID Administrator Mrs. Samatha Power, as well as the visits by some Congressional delegations.

His Excellency Secretary of State and Ms. Lara D. Crouch had a productive discussion on some aspects of bilateral relations and an exchange of views on some regional and international issues of common interests.
