On 19 December 2024, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to the Federal Republic of Germany hosted the ASEAN-Republic of Korea (ROK) Working Lunch. Attendees included His Excellency Sang Beom Lim, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, the 10 Heads of Mission of ASEAN countries, and their respective accompanying delegates, totaling 22 participants.

His Excellency CHHEANG Thyra, as the Chair of the Berlin ASEAN Committee (BAC), emphasized the BAC’s efforts to strengthen friendship, solidarity, and collaboration within the ASEAN family and with ASEAN’s dialogue partners in Germany. His Excellency ambassador highlighted the progress made by ASEAN-ROK over the past 35 years, particularly noting the establishment of the ASEAN-ROK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in early October this year. He commended the ROK's steadfast support for ASEAN community-building efforts, notably through initiatives such as the ROK-ASEAN Solidarity Initiative (KASI), among others.

In addition to applauding the achievements and the ROK’s commitment to ASEAN, the meeting exchanged views on the future direction of ASEAN-ROK relations, as well as discussions on regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
