On the morning of January 7, 2025, His Excellency Keo Chhea, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Cambodia to the United Nations (UN), paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Pascale Baeriswyl, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations.

During the meeting, the Permanent Representative of Switzerland congratulated Cambodia on her election as a member of the Organizational Committee of the UN Peacebuilding Commission for the 2025-2026 term and looked forward to close cooperation with Cambodia to enhance the UN's peacebuilding architecture. The Permanent Representative of Cambodia shared some of Cambodia’s priority work at the UN and highlighted Cambodia’s contribution to global peacekeeping efforts through the deployment of peacekeeping forces to Africa, including in Cyprus and Lebanon.

Both ambassadors also exchanged views on cooperation within ASEAN framework and the issue in Myanmar as well as committed to further strengthening good cooperation between Cambodia and Switzerland within the UN framework.
