On January 6, 2025, His Excellency Keo Chhea, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Cambodia to the United Nations (UN), paid a courtesy call on Ms. Kanni Wignaraja, the UN Assistant Secretary-General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

During their meeting, both sides noted with satisfaction the good partnership between the Kingdom of Cambodia and UNDP while discussing ways to further strengthening cooperation in many areas including governance, economics, climate changes and Cambodia’s graduation from the least developed country (LDC) category, among others.

They also exchanged views on regional and international of common concerns, notably the issues in Myanmar and transnational crimes as well as reiterated joint commitments to furthering good cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and UNDP in the coming years.
