On 27 May 2025, H.E. Ambassador CHHEANG Thyra attended the ASEAN–New Zealand working lunch hosted by the Embassy of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, in its capacity as the rotating Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Berlin. The event brought together H.E. Craig John Hawke, Ambassador of New Zealand, and the Heads of the 10 ASEAN diplomatic missions. The working lunch reviewed the progress of ASEAN–New Zealand cooperation over the past 50 years and discussed New Zealand’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its engagement with ASEAN. It also marked the 50th anniversary of ASEAN–New Zealand relations.
