On May 21, 2025, His Excellency Sok Chea, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Türkiye, and spouse, accompanied by Cambodian diplomats, attended the Tea Around Asia and the Pacific, which was held at the Residence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Ankara, with the participation of 19 foreign embassies, representatives of ministries and institutions, companies, and international organizations.
This event was organized to showcase the culture of making and drinking tea of each country, and serves as a platform for strengthening diplomatic relations and intercultural understanding. On that occasion, the Cambodian Embassy set up an exhibition booth to display tea products, coffee, cashew nuts, Kampot pepper, Khmer krama, along with some souvenirs, and prepared jasmine tea and two Khmer cakes, namely Num Porpeay (Glutinous Rice with Mung Bean) and Damlong Chean (Crispy-fried Sweet Potatoes), which are featured in the Taste of Angkor cookbook, to offer to the participants as well.
