“Trees of Solidarity Planted for Youth of Asia-Europe” at Angkor Wat, Siem Reap


On 18 November 2021, H.E. Mr. SOK Soken, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) and Head of the Inter-Institutional Working Group Responsible for the Organization of the 4th ASEF Young Leader Summit attended the Tree Planting Ceremony called “Trees of Solidarity Planted for Youth of Asia-Europe” in front of Angkor Wat, Siem Reap Province. The event was attended by Cambodian youth leaders, government officials, and members of the ASEM diplomatic corps. This event is part of the 4th ASEF Young Leader Summit (ASEFYLS4), the official youth side event of the 13th ASEM Summit (ASEM13); ASEFYLS4 is co-organized by MFAIC and ASEF with the dual goals of strengthening solidarity between Asia and Europe by planting 53 trees representing 51 countries and 02 intergovernmental institutions, and of encouraging youth participation in supporting actions under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action.
