The Council for the Promotion of Francophonie in Cambodia (CPFC) organized its 5th General Assembly on the afternoon of August 19, 2022 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), under the chairmanship of H.E. Dr. CHHIV Yiseang, Secretary of State and National Correspondent to the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF).

This French-speaking meeting was the occasion for the representatives of CPFC member institutions, embassies members of OIF in Cambodia, higher education establishments, civil society, the business community, the media and French-speaking authorities to take stock of the actions of la Francophonie in Cambodia in 2021-2022, as well as to establish the objectives and actions of la Francophonie in the short and medium term in the management of global crises affecting the Kingdom, to share general information on the XVIII Summit of la Francophonie in Djerba, and to review the internal status of CPFC, particularly in adding new members .

At the end of the 5th General Assembly, a cocktail reception was organized at the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations to celebrate the International Day of la Francophonie 2022. Nearly a hundred guests took part in this celebration after more than two years of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
