H.E. KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in his capacity as the Head of the Office of Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar, led a delegation to pay a working visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from 20-24 September 2022.

During the visit, the Secretary of State had discussions with (1) H.E. Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs; (2). H.E. Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for International Cooperation and Head of the Myanmar Task Force; (3) H.E. Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Minister of Health; (4) H.E. Dr. Thet Thet Khaing, Minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement; and (5) Lieutenant General Min Naung, Secretary of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC).

The discussions centered around how to advance further progress of the Five-Point Consensus and accelerate the delivery of ASEAN humanitarian assistance to the people of Myanmar, including the early completion of Joint Need Assessment (JNA) by the AHA Centre.
