On the morning of 10 March 2023, H.E. Mr. SOK Soken, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFA.IC) and Alternate Cambodia’s SOM Leader for Mekong Cooperation chaired an Informal Mekong Senior Officials’ Meeting via videoconference, which was attended by all Mekong SOM Leaders from Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

During the meeting, SOM Leaders discussed and exchanged views on key issues of the Mekong cooperation mechanisms including the Mekong-Republic of Korea, the Mekong-Japan, the Mekong-US Partnership, the Mekong-Ganga, and the ACMECS framework. In addition to that, CLV and CLMV related works were also discussed. Taking the opportunity, the meeting also stated the significance of enhancing Mekong cooperation, which contributes to the promotion of prosperity and sustainable development in our Mekong sub-region.
