On 11 November 2023, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated in a ceremony to commemorate Armistice Day at the Monument aux morts.

 The ceremony aimed at honoring fallen Cambodian combatants engaged in World War I alongside their French comrades. The event has been organized by the French Embassy in Phnom-Penh with the participation of Cambodian dignitaries, diplomatic corps, officials, and students from the Lycée Français René Descartes.
