On 05 December 2023, His Excellency KHUON Phon Rattanak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Her Excellency Deirdre Ní Fhallúin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ireland to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Ministry, after Her Excellency the Ambassador has presented the Letters of Credence to His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath NORODOM Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

During the cordial meeting, His Excellency KHUON Phon Rattanak expressed his deep gratitude to the Republic of Ireland for its invaluable assistance to Cambodia over the years, particularly in demining and education. Her Excellency Deirdre Ní Fhallúin reaffirmed the Irish Government's commitment to providing continued assistance to Cambodia in humanitarian demining and nutrition support through regional assistance.

Both sides reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations and cooperation. Both parties also exchanged insightful views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
