On 13 February 2024, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister, SOK Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held an internal meeting bringing together the leaders as well as all the French-speaking officials of the Ministry. The discussions focused on Cambodia's actions in the Francophonie and particularly on Cambodia's candidacy to host the Francophonie Summit in 2026, the results of which will be announced at the 2024 Summit in France.
