On 26 February 2024, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Mr. Susumu Tai, Honorary Consul of Cambodia in Sendai, Japan, at the Ministry.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation to the Honorary Consul for devoting time and resources to promoting the long standing relations and greater cooperation between the two countries.  The Deputy Prime Minister also advised the Honorary Consul to encourage more Japanese tourists and investors to visit Cambodia, notably to capitalize on investment prospects in Cambodia more swiftly.
