On 7 June 2024, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, attended the 17th Meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Council Working Group (ACCWG) on Timor-Leste’s Membership in ASEAN. The Meeting focused on the recent progress in implementing the Roadmap for Timor-Leste’s Full Membership in ASEAN as well as on the ongoing efforts by ASEAN Member States and other relevant stakeholders to provide Timor-Leste with capacity-building assistance, which is crucial for expediting the process of Timor-Leste’s inclusion as a full member of ASEAN.
