Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn Shares Cambodia’s Peace Experiences


Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, shared Cambodia’s experiences in contributing to global peace by dispatching the Cambodian blue helmets to take part in the United Nations peacekeeping operations worldwide, which were highly appreciated by the international community.

 

The sharing was presented on 24 November 2024 in the 1st Plenary Session on “Advancing the Global Architecture of Peace, Peace Building, Reconciliation, and Tolerance: Synergy of Governments, Parliaments, and Civil Society” of the 11th Plenary Session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP 11), which is being held in Cambodia from 23 to 26 November 2024.

 

In his presentation, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that peace and stability have been pivotal in Cambodia’s economic and social development, as well as the integration of the country into regional and international organizations. Furthermore, the prevalence of peace in the country has fostered Cambodia’s contribution to global peace process.

 

His Excellency Prak Sokhonn also reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to actively participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations and continuing ongoing support to international efforts aimed at resolving conflicts and advancing world’s peace.
