His Excellency NONG Sakal receives courtesy call by His Excellency Michel PARYS, Ambassador of Belgium to Cambodia


On the morning of 10 November 2025, His Excellency NONG Sakal, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, received a courtesy call by His Excellency Michel PARYS, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Kingdom of Cambodia, with residence in Bangkok, at the Ministry.

Both sides exchanged views on the significant progress in bilateral relations and cooperation, particularly in the areas of health, education, and mine clearance, as well as on multilateral cooperation. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Belgium to an even higher level. 

The two sides also discussed general information regarding the upcoming Francophonie Summit, which will be held in Cambodia in 2026, during which a high-level Belgian delegation is expected to participate.

During the discussion, His Excellency NONG Sakal also briefed the Belgian Ambassador on the latest developments along the Cambodia–Thailand border, particularly regarding the implementation status of the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration signed on 26 October 2025 by the Prime Ministers of Cambodia and Thailand.
