His Excellency Nong Sakal receives a courtesy call from His Excellency Danny Annan, Ambassador of Denmark to Cambodia


On the morning of 12 November 2025, His Excellency Nong Sakal, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call from His Excellency Danny Annan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Kingdom of Cambodia, with residence in Bangkok, at the Ministry.

Both sides exchanged views on general matters concerning the strengthening of Cambodia–Denmark bilateral cooperation in the political and economic fields, the promotion of people-to-people connectivity and exchanges between the two countries, as well as regional and international issues, including the possibility of enhancing cooperation within multilateral frameworks. His Excellency the Ambassador of Denmark expressed satisfaction with the growth of bilateral trade with Cambodia, which increased by 11% in 2025 compared to 2024. He also underlined that the Danish community in Cambodia is pleased with the living and business environment in the country and is looking forward to expanding its trade and business activities further in Cambodia. Both sides also noted with satisfaction the growth in the number of Danish tourists visiting Cambodia.

On regional and international issue, His Excellency Nong Sakal also briefed the Danish Ambassador on the latest developments along the Cambodia–Thailand border, particularly regarding the implementation of the Joint Declaration signed by the Prime Ministers of Cambodia and Thailand on 26 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. 

Both sides exchanged views on the importance of holding the first Political Consultation as a means to establish a framework for future cooperation.
