On 5 December 2025, the Economic Diplomacy Coordinating Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) organised a hybrid Seminar on “Economic Policy Updates for Cambodian Diplomats,” presided over by Her Excellency CHRING Botumrangsay, Secretary of State and High Representative of His Excellency PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The event was attended by esteemed guest speakers from relevant ministries and institutions, together with more than 200 Cambodian diplomats, at the Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel.

The Seminar aimed to highlight the short- and long-term impacts of the US tariffs and the Cambodia–Thailand border conflict on Cambodia’s economy, as well as the policy measures undertaken by the Royal Government in response. Presentations by the guest speakers further contributed to enhancing diplomats’ understanding for more effective implementation of Cambodia’s economic diplomacy, and increased alignment with interministerial efforts.
