On 18 July 2017, Cambodian Ambassador Mr. Norng Sakal, Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN attended the interface meeting between the Permanent Representatives of Committee to ASEAN (CPR), which was held for the first time, at the ASEAN Secretariat, in Jakarta. Turkish delegation was headed by H.E. Ümit Yardım, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey. The meeting was aimed at enhancing the ASEAN-Turkey Relations. The CPR noted Turkey’s desires to engage with ASEAN to promote economic and trade as well as functional cooperation such as tourism, education and cultural.
