On 28 October 2017, H.E Mr. So Mara, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia and H.E Mr. CHENG Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR attended the ceremony to officially launch “Visit Laos Year 2018” at That Luang Stupa in Vientiane. The ceremony was presided over by H.E Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of Lao PDR. The launch coincided with the start of the annual That Luang festival which features a trade fare, a display of the traditional houses, and cultural performance.
