H.E Mr. Prak Phalla, Chairman of Digitization Program, Information and Communication Technology of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Pol. Gen. Sok Phal, Director General of the General Department of Immigration of the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia and H.E. Mr. Cheng Manith, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Lao PDR attended the 21^st Meeting of ASEAN Directors General of Immigration Department and Heads of Consular Affairs Divisions of Ministries of Foreign Affairs and related meetings held in Vientiane, Lao PDR from 21-24 November 2017 which was presided over by Major-General Kongthong Phongvichith, Deputy Minister of Public Security of the Lao PDR.

The Meeting exchanged views on challenges and significant national developments in immigration, capacity building programs and best practices in border management, consular and immigration-related matters. The Meeting called on ASEAN Member States to enhance their cooperation to address the trans-national crime, illegal migration, human trafficking and people smuggling.
