On 31 March 2019, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Vientiane, Lao PDR held a reception to celebrate the Khmer New Year 2019 at Cambodian Ambassador’s residence. More than 200 guests comprising of Cambodian people, students, Lao government officials, and businessmen attended the function.

In his welcome remarks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR, Mr. Cheng Manith highlighted the remarkable achievement in economic and social development under the wise leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia. He called on Cambodian Community and students to absolutely reject any attempt carried out by certain extremist politicians and foreign circles behind their backs to wage color revolution to hinder development, and derail Cambodia from the path of democracy and rule of law.

H.E. Ambassador also briefed on good friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Lao PDR and on economic potentials and investment opportunity in Cambodia and Laos. He called on investors from both countries to increase their investment in Cambodia and Lao respectively.
