On the afternoon of April 4, 2019, H.E. Mr. Yeap Samnang, Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN, joined the CPR Lecture Series 2019 at the University of Indonesia (UI). He had presented about “ASEAN Diplomacy” focusing on 1) ASEAN Consensus Building, 2) Dialogue and Consultation, 3) Pragmatic and Flexible approaches, 4) Non-confrontation approach (with the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of each AMS), 5) ASEAN Collective Leadership, 6) Constructive approach based on collective regional interests, 7) Confidence Building Measures (CBM) and Preventive Diplomacy, 8) I introduced a new concept of “Quiet Diplomacy in ASEAN”, and 9) Follow-up mechanisms/structures.
