The Cambodian Embassy to the United States held the Khmer New Year celebration at the Embassy on Sunday, April 7, 2019 with the participation of over 300 Cambodians and foreign guests from different states. The celebration started at 9am with the Buddhist Blessing ceremony​ ​followed by cultural performance and music band playing till 5pm.

After delivering a short New Year remarks, Honorable Rady Mom, Massachusetts State Representative, presented to H.E. Mr. Chum Sounry, Cambodian Ambassador to the United States, the Certificate of Congratulations from the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts extended to him by Honorable Robert A. DeLeo, Speaker of the House, followed by the presentation by Mr. Hor Chou, President of Cambodian Business Association, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, of congratulations from State Senator Sharif Street of Pennsylvania.
