On 28 April 2019, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Cambodia admission to ASEAN (April 30, 1999 - April 30, 2019) the Cambodian Embassy in Thailand held a gathering with about 100 Cambodian students from Khon Khaen and Mahasarakham University to have solidarity meal and dance.

The Ambassador also took the opportunity to talk to and inform the students about the many benefits of Cambodia as an ASEAN member as well as to remind them to bring the knowledge back to help develop the country after finishing their study.
