On 23 October 2023, His Excellency Un Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, cordially received a courtesy call from Mr. TANINAI Ichitomo, Deputy Chief of Mission/ Minister of the Embassy of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia. Both sides emphasized the longstanding bilateral relations between Cambodia and Japan.   His Excellency Un Kheang noted Japan’s role in the reconstruction of Cambodia and its continued commitment to the development of Cambodia through development assistance and investment.  Mr. Taninai expressed his confidence in the leadership of Samdech Thipadei HUN MANET.  Furthermore, H.E. Un Kheang and Mr. TANINAI Ichitomo also explored further cooperation between the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR) and Japan, particularly in the field of capacity-building.
