On 8 June 2024, His Excellency KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ASEAN SOM Leader of Cambodia, met with His Excellency Daniel J. Kritenbrink, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, on the sideline of the ASEAN SOM and Related Meetings in Vientiane. Both sides discussed potential cooperation under the ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and priorities as Cambodia will assume the role of Country Coordinator for ASEAN-U.S. Dialogue Relations (2024-2027). The two sides also shared their views on regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
