Cambodia and the Philippines are scheduled to convene the Fourth meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation next month


On 10 July 2024, His Excellency SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call by Her Excellency Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Cambodia, at the Ministry.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Her Excellency Ambassador expressed their satisfaction with significant progress in bilateral relations and cooperation in various areas, including trade, investment, tourism and connectivity, and defense and security.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his pleasure for his first official visit to the Republic of the Philippines and co-chairing the Fourth Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (4th JCBC) meeting which to be held in August in Manila to jointly explore ways to take the Cambodia-Philippines’ close ties to even greater heights for the mutual interests.

His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Her Excellency Ambassador also reaffirmed their mutual support in regional and international fora.
