Deputy Prime Minister opens Training Course on Cambodian Culinary Diplomacy

On the morning of 19 September 2024, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister SOK Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, presided over the Opening Ceremony of the Training Course at the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR) on "Cambodian Culinary Diplomacy: Promoting Friendship and Cooperation Through Foods", to be held from 19 to 21 September 2024, in Phnom Penh and Kampot Province.
The Training course was co-organised by the NIDIR and the Asia Foundation Cambodia.

In addition to promoting Khmer cuisine, the training aims to increase the knowledge of foreign diplomats stationed in Cambodia about the country's food culture, especially with regard to the sophistication, distinctiveness, and innumerable legacies of the country's millennium-old culinary heritage. The program offers a fantastic chance to foster networking and friendships between the people of Cambodia and international diplomats stationed in Cambodia.
