During the economic diplomacy mission in Ho Chi Minh City, on 07 October 2024, H.E. Mr. BONG Sovath, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, representative of H.E. Mrs. KHIEV Sophany, Secretary of State in Charge of Economic Diplomacy, met with Mr. Vo Van Hoan, Vice-Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

His Excellency spoke highly the development of Ho Chi Minh City and highlighted the efforts of the Royal Government of Cambodia to promote economic diplomacy. He also encouraged the exchange of visit for dialogue and interaction between stakeholders in various priority sectors, especially between the Cambodian provinces along the Cambodia-Viet Nam border and Ho Chi Minh City, to promote trade, attract investment, enhance infrastructure and people-to-people connectivity, and boost tourism in both countries.
