On 18 October 2024, His Excellency MEAS Kim Heng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Project Manager of the Project Management Unit for the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund, chaired an inter-ministerial meeting on “Project Implementation of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation 2024” with representatives from the implementing agencies of 7 line ministries and institutions involved in the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund 2024, at the Ministry.

The meeting discussed the progress of Mekong-Lancang cooperation and focused on the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in accordance with the Procurement Manual which is essential to ensure the effectiveness of project implementation, consistency of standards, the roles and responsibilities, and accountability of the implementing agencies.
