On 30 October 2024, His Excellency Dr. UN Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Mr. NAGASE Kensuke, Chargé d'Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of Japan to Cambodia, at the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations.

The discussion focused mainly on the significance of Cambodia-Japan relations, which were recently elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership as well as exchanged views on exploring the opportunity to further promote cooperation between NIDIR and Japan, particularly in the field of capacity-building.
