His Excellency Mr. UN Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation attended the 8th Indian Ocean Conference, held in Muscat, Oman, on 16-17 February 2025. The Conference, which was attended by over 40 leaders from over 40 countries, aimed at addressing the challenges facing the Indian Ocean region and promoting cooperative mechanisms. Addressing in the conference, H.E. Dr. UN Kheang emphasized Cambodia's commitment to cooperation and urged all countries to work together for inclusiveness, complementarity, and mutual benefits. On the sidelines of the event, Dr. UN Kheang held bilateral meetings with (1) His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa Alharty, Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman; (2) His Excellency Jaideep Mazumdar, Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India; and (3) His Excellency Cosato David Chumi, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Tanzania to discuss opportunities and ways for further strengthening and expanding cooperation between Cambodia and these countries, especially in the fields of diplomacy, trade and tourism.
