On 17 March 2025, Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a cordial conversation with 34 Cambodian students who are set to start their study in April 2025 under the scholarship of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degrees. The 34 students will study at various universities in Japan, in the fields of engineering, architecture, education, information technology, nutrition, economics, and law.  

Her Excellency EAT Sophea advised the students to maintain solidarity and study hard to acquire valuable knowledge to support national development and to serve as ambassadors cementing ties between the people of Cambodia and Japan and promoting the culture and prestige of Cambodia. She wished the students a safe trip to Japan and success in their studies.
