On the afternoon of 4 April 2025, Her Excellency  EAT Sophea, Permanent Secretary of State, led a delegation to pay tribute and signed the Book of Condolences at the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Phnom Penh on the passing of His Excellency General Khamtay Siphandone on 2 April 2025, former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
