On the morning of 8 October 2025, Her Excellency CHRING Botomrangsay, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, had a bilateral meeting with Her Excellency Ülkü Kocaefe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Cambodia, at the Ministry. 

Her Excellency the Secretary of State highly praised Her Excellency the Ambassador's dedication and contributions to advancing and further fostering the bilateral relations between Cambodia and Türkiye. Both sides engaged in fruitful discussions on ways to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of economy, trade, culture and education. 

In conclusion, Her Excellency the Secretary of State briefed the Ambassador on the current situation of the Cambodia–Thailand border issue and reiterated Cambodia’s steadfast position in its efforts to de-escalate the tensions, rebuild trust, and ensure the full and sincere implementation of the existing agreements, aiming to restore normalcy in Cambodia-Thailand bilateral relations.
