On the afternoon of 20 November 2025, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral discussion with His Excellency Ignazio Cassis, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation in Kigali, Rwanda. 

During the meeting, both Ministers highly valued the growing bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed the ways to further deepen the existing cooperation. His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Switzerland’s development assistance, provided to Cambodia, especially in the areas of health, demining, culture, and local governance. Switzerland has expressed its strong support for Cambodia in assuming the host of the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026 and looks forward to participating in this important event.
