The 39th session of the Ministerial Conference of la Francophonie (CMF) ( 10 December 2021)

On Friday December 10, 2021, His Excellency Secretary of State, CHHIV Yiseang, participated, on behalf of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, at the 39th session of the Ministerial Conference of la Francophonie (CMF), by videoconference, under the chairmanship of Mr. Othman Jerandi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad. This 39th session was scheduled face-to-face, whereas it was changed its format at the last minute due to the increasing cases of Covid-19 in France.

The Ministers and heads of delegation of member states and governments expressed their support for the modernisation of the Organization, in particular through the development of the single regulations for the bodies of La Francophonie : a renewed normative framework that is more readable and more efficient, which will allow better anticipation and management of these bodies. They also adopted the updated Digital Francophonie Strategy 2022-2026, which is one of the priorities of the OIF.

The 40th session of the CMF will be scheduled for the first quarter of 2022 to address political issues and finalise the normative framework, a reference text for La Francophonie.
