Project background:
Roughly a decade after the global financial crisis 2008, the international system has been put to test on all sides against protectionist and unilateral policies, the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, and unprecedented uncertainties caused by great power rivalry.
Corresponding to the evolving geo-politics and global economic landscape, H.E. PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) of the Kingdom of Cambodia, launched the Economic Diplomacy Strategy 2021-2023 (EDS) with the vision of strengthening Cambodia’s national prestige and divert the adverse impacts by advancing and maximizing national economic interests through the conduct of economic diplomacy of trade, tourism, investment and cultural and sports exchanges promotion.
Since the EDS 2021-2023 is rather a new strategy, under the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund, the Economic Diplomacy Coordinating Group (EDCG), has been granted special fund to implement a project on “Capacity-Building for Economic Diplomacy in Post-COVID Era”. The Project aims at building CLM diplomats’ capacity on economic diplomacy to maximize this foreign policy for the higher and more inclusive regional economic growth in the region in the Post-COVID era, and the realization of the Five-Year Plan of Action on LMC 2018-2022.
For abovementioned purpose, EDCG is seeking for project admins to support the implementation of the project’s essential tasks, including organizing capacity building workshops, regional seminar, translate relevant documents, assisting inputs gathering, engaging relevant ministries and stakeholder, and handle general administrative tasks.
Requirement:
- The applicants must possess at least bachelor's degree in Management, International Relations, Laws and Economics or equivalent with at least 2 years work experience.
- The applicants must possess experience in project management, and economic diplomacy.
- The applicants must have high English and Khmer proficiency.
- The applicants must have effective problem-solving, interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and be able to work in team
