On the morning of 09 February 2022, H.E. Ambassador Hok Sophea met with H.E. Mrs. Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam. During the meeting, both side exchanged views on various matters of common interests. H.E. Ambassador Hok Sophea informed his Philippines counterpart of roles of Cambodia as ASEAN Chair in 2022, successful containment of Covid-19 pandemic that allows Cambodia to reopen the country and foreign travelers do not need to quarantine as long as they are fully vaccinated and comply with the health procedures upon arrival in Cambodia. H.E. Hok Sophea also informed his counterpart of SEA GAME 32 and ASEAN PARA Game in 2023 that Cambodia will host for the first time and hope that Philippines would support this event and send as many athletes as possible to compete in this game.
