On 01 June 2022, H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation led a delegation to attend the 3rd Round of the Bilateral Consultation between the two Foreign Ministries of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baku. He was warmly welcomed by his Azerbaijani counterpart H.E. Mr. Elnur Israfil oglu Mammadov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan.

The Three Rounds of the Bilateral Consultations are the by-product of the Official Visit of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Azerbaijan on 23-24 April 2014.

 Both sides reviewed and followed up the relations between both countries and  exchanged views on regional and international issues while setting out a roadmap for future cooperation to advance ties in potential areas of common interest for the mutual benefit of our two peoples.

The meeting was marked by the signing of the Agreement on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic Passports.

In the Afternoon of the same day, H.E. Dr. CHEM Widhya also paid a Courtesy Call on H.E. Mr. Hikmat Farhad oglu Hajiyev, Assistant to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The two meetings were held in an atmosphere of cordial friendship and mutual commitment to further enhance the bonds between Cambodia and Azerbaijan. 

H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya expressed his high appreciations and thanks to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan for the warm welcome, the gracious hospitality and the excellent arrangements extended to the Cambodian Delegation.
