H.E. KUNG Phoak, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in his capacity as the Head of the Office of Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar, led a delegation to pay a working visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from 7-11 June 2022.
During the visit, the Secretary of State had fruitful discussions with (1) H.E. Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, (2). H.E. Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for International Cooperation; and (3) the representatives of the Myanmar Task Force, including H.E. U Kyaw Myo Htut, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Dr. Aye Htun, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health; and H.E. U Aung Tun Khaing, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
The discussions focused on engendering further progress of the Five-Point Consensus and following up on the frameworks reached at the Consultative Meeting on ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar on 6 May 2022.
